Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) will begin admissions for the 2024-25 session with the registration for WBJEE counseling in July 2025 (tentative). Admissions at HIT are based on candidates' performance in entrance exams and qualifying exams. The MAKAUT-conducted entrance exams are mandatory for HIT admissions. For MTech programs, both GATE and WB PGET scores are accepted, with more weight given to PGET scores.

Selection Criteria for Admission at HIT

Admission to various UG and PG courses at HIT is based on the following criteria:

Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) follows a structured counseling process for admission to various programs.
