Thapar University Placements 2023

The Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) has released its placement report for 2023 (as of July 15). A total of 334 companies participated in the placement drive, offering 1884 job opportunities, which included 1664 single offers and 110 multiple offers. Out of these, 1774 students successfully secured placements. The highest package offered to undergraduate students was 55.75 LPA, showcasing the university's reputation for attracting top recruiters. The average package for UG courses stood at 11.90 LPA, reflecting robust placement outcomes. Notable recruiters included Zomato, Microsoft, Samsung, and Infosys, among others.

• The total number of students placed in 2023 increased to 1774 from 1604 in 2022. This is an increase of 10%. 
• Thapar University witnessed a 15% growth in the highest package offered to UG students. The highest package in 2022 was Rs 40 LPA, and in 2023, it increased to Rs 55.75 LPA. 
• The multiple offers made in 2022 were 263. A massive dip of 58% was seen in 2023 as multiple job offers made in 2023 were 110.
• Thapar University achieved a 24% increase in single-job offers. In 2022, the single offer made was 1341, which increased to 1664 in 2023.
• The average package for UG students has increased. In 2022, it was Rs 11.03 LPA, and in 2023, it surged to Rs 11.90 LPA.

Thapar University Selection Criteria for UG Courses

• For B.Tech, selection is based on JEE Main scores.
• Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in the 10+ 2 standards
• For B. Pharmacy, selection is based on JEE/NEET/SAT or the Thapar University entrance test.
• Before final selection, candidates will need to meet all the eligibility criteria to get admission.
• Candidates who qualify for the entrance exam will receive an admission offer.
• Selected students will need to pay the first-semester fee to confirm their seats.
